In this section we find the best alternatives to the Browser provided by Google, alternatives that do not track us and are respectful of privacy, unfortunately in my opinion Firefox which is an excellent browser receiving funding from Google does not give us the protection that we expect from an open source browser.

Lately Google as well as Microsoft has excluded the possibility of inserting an ad-blocker like ublock origin for which we need more open alternatives and above all more respectful of users' privacy. Let's begin....

1. Brave

The first browser in my opinion is definitely Brave, in fact Brave blocks fingerprinting by default, and has integrated an ad block. The only limitation in my opinion is that unfortunately the plugins can only be installed from the Google store.

2.Librewolf

ILibrewolf is my second choice as a default browser, it is a privacy-conscious browser that uses private meta search engines as well as having anti-tracking features, integrated ublock (chrome and edge have removed the ability to use adblocker) and other features to further promote privacy and anonymity.

3. Waterfox

Waterfox is in third place among the browsers that I want to recommend as alternatives to Chrome, as for Librewolf and Brave it does not collect telemetry and anti-tracking functions, it also uses private meta engines instead of Google as Firefox does.

4. Tor Browser

Finally, for lovers of total privacy (at the expense of convenience) there is Tor Browser, a browser that uses the Tor network and is therefore much less efficient in terms of performance, but very effective in terms of privacy and tracking.

All of the above alternatives are free and open source, and are a great starting point for independence from certain proprietary platforms.
